Articles of Faith

1. We believe in only one true and living God as He is revealed to us in the Holy Scriptures.  Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, not  three Gods, but one God.

2. We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are written words of God and the only rule of all saving knowledge and obedience.

3. We believe in the doctrine of Election according to the foreknowledge of God.
(Eph. 1:4, I Peter 1:2, 1 Peter 2:9, John 15: 16-17, II Thes. 2:13, Rom. 8:29-30)

4. We believe in the doctrine of Original Sin.
(Gen. 2:17, Gen 3:6-24, Psa. 51:5, Psa. 58:3, John 6:44, Rom. 3:19, Rom. 5:12, I Cor. 15:22)

5. We believe in man’s impotency to rescue himself from the fallen state he is in by his own free will or ability.

6. We believe sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ.

7. We believe the elect, according to the foreknowledge of God will be called, converted, regenerated and sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

8. We believe the saints will persevere in grace and never fall finally away.

9. We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances of Jesus Christ, and that true believers are the only fit subjects of these ordinances and the true mode of baptism is by immersion.

10.We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the general judgment.

11.We believe that the punishment of the wicked shall be everlasting and the joys of the righteous shall be eternal.

12.We believe that no minister has the right to administer the ordinances except those who have been called of God, regularly baptized and come under the imposition of hands of the presbytery.
